Here's my favorite piece so far. Well, actually, my favorite piece is one I gifted to a friend for her birthday, it's this one here:
Still imperfect of course, but my "best" so far I think.
and here are some close ups of the favorite that I still have:
These two below were started on the road trip last week, still working on these two:
Speaking of road trips, we're taking a looong one tomorrow. The kids and I are taking grandpa up to Northern California (poor hubs has to work) to visit my brother and family tomorrow. We've got about 8 hours on the road, (oh boy!) Sooooo, look what I found, the coolest little hand held travel weaving loom! I couldn't resist getting the warp on it, wish I would have photographed it for you first. I bought it from Board and Bread.
It's got me looking forward to the trip (a little). Oh, and I have no idea if I put the warp on right over that handle, I'll have to look into that...no matter, I know it will work out just as well, even if that's not the correct way.
And while I'm on the subject of looms, I also purchased this one since my last hand weaving obsession update. This lap loom was from All Roads (obviously). It's nice and light and could come too, if there weren't 4 people and a dog in a Prius making the trip...it'll have to wait until next time. I'm starting to feel cramped already and I'm sitting on my family room couch ;). Also, if you need any weaving stimulation, look at All Roads owner, Janelle Pietrzak's creations...very inspiring!
Still a wonky weaver here...
This one is so curvaceous, it looks like a dress for Charo!
Here's my weaving wall so far...we'll see what I've got to add to it after this trip is over!
