We bought some 99¢ pumpkins, added some white glue with a paintbrush, and sprinkled on some gold glitter we had on hand.
It's easy to wipe off stray glitter before it dries, and after it dries both. After seemed easiest for little hands.
We were disappointed that one of our pumpkins lost it's stem, until we realized that that enabled us to turn it top down and dip it in a pile of glitter, and the white glue didn't run in the meantime.
